9-1-1 Call Center Tour (past)

Description

Guided by one of the 9-1-1 Telecommunicattors, join us as we learn about a 9-1-1 Call Center, see the building and the set-up, watch from the atrium as calls are processed, learn the history and equipment used by dispatch, ask all those questions you’ve always wanted to ask! This General Studies workshop is intended to increase your world knowledge of how 9-1-1 calls are processed. This workshop is not intended to address any information specific to interpreting or the Deaf community.

Target Audience

Working interpreters and students wanting to learn more about the 911 process.
