SPIN Graduate Celebration (past)

***Please RSVP, Quinn Webb, qew2623@rit.edu, or Chris Kelley, kelleynine@yahoo.com

SPIN (Student and Professional Interpreters Network) is a mentoring/networking group for professional interpreters to meet with interpreting majors at ASLIE and Keuka College.  The monthly meetings are held to encourage professional discussions regarding interpreting.

We have an annual "graduating and congratulations" meeting at the end of each year.  This year our final meeting is Thursday, April 25, 2017; 6:30-8:30pm at RIT, LBJ 2590.  At this meeting we celebrate the success of the seniors and welcome our new colleagues into the interpreting world.  During this event we have goody bags for everyone attending and drawings for the seniors.  Of course, I'm asking for a donation from you.

Would you or your organization be willing to donate?

We have two separate needs;

1) items for "drawings" for graduating seniors who have been attending the meetings during the year.  Examples from the past years: blankets, fun t-shirts, gift cards, games, etc

2) goody bag items for everyone who attends.  This includes reusable bags, water bottles, pens, paper, notebooks, etc

If you can and will donate, please let me know.  If needed, the students, mentors, or interns will pick up donations.

I'd also like to invite you to come celebrate with everyone!

Thank you for your consideration. And, thank you for your support to the students - and to the interpreting community.

Chris Kelley, CI/CT; SC:L
