Don Heinz

Treasurer

Don is originally from Houghton, NY. He attended NTID and graduated with an A.A.S. in Optical Science. For the last eight years he has worked for Monroe BOCES 2 as an Educational Interpreter. Don has over 18 years experience interpreting and working in various school settings. He also taught ASL classes at Genesee Community College for five years. Don has religious interpreting experience from two regular church services in the Rochester area. Don has been a member of GVRRID for 15 years, and the Treasurer for two. Notably, Don is a former ambulance captain, held advanced EMT certification and volunteered with the Houghton Fire Department for 21 years.
